The Rademeyer business legacy in Port
Elizabeth was originally started by Pieter Rademeyer snr 's father, who in
the early 1900's managed his local dairy from 18 Pickering Street (now
Elizabeth Place).
In 1966 Grandfather Rademeyer was elected Mayor of Port Elizabeth and he
served the community until 1968. His son Pieter Rademeyer (snr.) grew up in
18 Pickering Street and for years ran the well known and successful, Pieter
Rademeyer Plumbers, from these premises. In 1998 he developed the Pickering
Street family home into Pickering Park Business Centre.

that spans more than 100 years
Pieter Rademeyer (jnr), third generation and owner of Elizabeth Place, opened
the exclusive 'Elizabeth Place,' naming the venue in honor of his mother, in
Pickering Park in 2007.
Pieter Rademeyer (Jnr) and Elizabeth Place is a continuance of the Rademeyer's
tradition of business service, excellence and quality. Elizabeth Place is a
physical expression of its owner’s passion. |
